What type of SalesDog® is a Chihuahua?

The following excerpt comes from the book, SalesDogs®: Why some dogs can sell... and why some can't! by Blair Singer. To learn more about your breed and how best to work to your own natural strengths - order the book.

Those that own this pocket rocket love them. They are probably the most intense of all the breeds.

They are technical wizards. Their product knowledge and understanding of processes is astounding. When they have a point to be made, they are insistent about driving their point home. But they have to be careful, because their constant high pitched "yipping" is sometimes enough to give everyone else a headache.

Don't ever get a Chihuahua started on a subject they are passionate about. They won't just talk, they will shout, scream, rant and rave a mile a minute. Prospects can only be amazed and impressed with the incredible exhibition of passion, emotion and technical detail.

While some of the other breeds need physical exercise to remain healthy, this breed needs mental exercise. Their brainpower is amazing.

Whilst the Chihuahua is not always the best lap dog, it's the breed you want on your team when digging up data and putting together vital presentations. With boundless energy, Chihuahuas can pull off all-nighters better than any other breed. While others are curled up asleep, the Chihuahua is flitting from website to website, or page after page of annual reports, compiling information and assembling a report that would take others twice the time to draft.

Chihuahuas must learn to harness their incredible passion, brainpower and energy. Learn your strengths and weaknesses, tips on increasing personal sales and tips for avoiding the pitfalls so you can play to your natural talent.
